Today was the first excursion that I was left behind on. I woke up and showered, like I normally do. I started trying to braid my hair, and every time I tried to start, I would get really hot and dizzy, and need to sit down, so I figured that half a day in the desert would probably be a bad choice. I’m not too upset about it. I spent the day catching up on reading and email, rather than getting myself to feel worse.

I’ve never been on an overnight train before, so this journey to Aswan/Luxor should prove to be pretty interesting.
