Via Latin from Greek: Puramis, Puramid.

There’s not much I can say about seeing the Pyramids today other than that it was probably the second most surreal time of my life. I won’t discuss the first, because that’s a more personal issue, but I continue to have difficulty believing it. The pictures look fake to me – like we’re superimposed on a backdrop from the Kmart picture studio, or something equally as campy. I know we were there. The yellowish tint to my sneakers and the sunburn on my cheeks proves it, but I still can’t believe it.
